The Valley Drive-In Theatre is Nova Scotia’s largest and longest-running drive-in, proudly operated by the local Lions Club as a not-for-profit community enterprise. We provide affordable, family-friendly entertainment while supporting local initiatives and youth employment.

Position Overview

​

We are seeking motivated and reliable students to join our Canteen Team for the summer season. This position is focused entirely on concession operations, providing food and beverage service to guests in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Canteen team members are a key part of the guest experience, ensuring quick, friendly service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Take customer orders and operate cash register/POS system

• Prepare and serve food items (popcorn, snacks, beverages, etc.)

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the canteen and food prep areas

• Restock supplies and monitor inventory levels during shifts

• Follow all food safety and hygiene standards

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service at all times

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a student (high school or post-secondary)

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to handle cash and follow procedures accurately

• Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team

• Previous food service experience is an asset but not required
